PoW Camp 635 Lord Mayor’s Camp

Prior to WWII this was the site of a Children’s Holiday Camp made up of wooden huts. Post War the site was cleared and is now a simple empty field with a residential static caravan site to one side and housing to the other side and rear.

Prior to WWII this was the site of a Children’s Holiday Camp made up of wooden huts.

Post War the site was cleared and is now a simple empty field with a residential static caravan site to one side and housing to the other side and rear. In fact this entire part of the coast has a lot of static caravan sites.

It is interesting to note that there is an information board at the site, and it shows not just the camp but also the houses which were replaced post war.

Note: I was unable to take any drone images due to high winds.
